Fees & costs
People don’t like talking about money, and even less about legal fees. I do it the other way round: you learn at the outset what to expect, and then decide at your leisure. You get a first orientation right here.
What will my matter cost?
- Net fee
- 900,00 €
- plus 19% VAT
- 171,00 €
- Estimated total
- 1.071,00 €
Billing based on an individual fee agreement with an hourly rate of 450,00 €. The actual effort is discussed transparently.
Two ways of billing
Under the RVG, the German Lawyers’ Fees Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz). The fees are based on the value of the matter (Gegenstandswert). Especially when legal expenses insurance (Rechtsschutzversicherung) is involved, this is the usual route.
By fee agreement, with a clear hourly rate of €450 plus VAT. This often makes sense when advice is the focus rather than the amount in dispute.
Which route is cheaper for you we work out together before you commit. What ends up on the invoice I tell you in advance, not afterwards.
How the costs are made up
Depending on the case, the remuneration consists of fees for out-of-court and/or court work, a flat-rate for expenses and statutory VAT. With a fee agreement, the fee results from the actual time spent at the agreed hourly rate.
Initial consultation at a fixed price
Fixed rates apply for a first conversation. So you know before the appointment what it costs, no small print.
Prices for private individuals incl. VAT; for companies plus statutory VAT.
